Hannes Birnkammerer is Research Associate for Grants and Research Cooperations at the Centre for Teacher Education at the University of Passau and Co-Coordinator of the EU-Horizon project TaCT-FoRSED. He is an educational researcher focusing on Game-Based Learning, Open Educational Resources and Media Education.
Digital media have emerged as a new platform for spreading conspiracy theories, and Hannes Birnkammerer and his colleagues are investigating how game-based education in schools can help make children and adolescents more resilient towards these attitudes that undermine democracy.
